When a family is dealing with a crisis situation or struggling to get the bills paid, those hardships have an impact on kids’ learning. Boulder Valley School District employs 4,300 employees. One of the Key Actions of the Educator Pipeline committee is to attract and recruit qualified teacher candidates both locally and nationally. Finding the highest quality teachers is often accomplished through recruiting efforts at local and national job fairs. During the 2015-2016 school year, hundreds of prospective applicants were able to speak to district and school administrators about working in the Boulder Valley School District.
